The village of Bushmills is famous as the home of Bushmills Whiskey – the oldest
licensed (1608) whiskey distillery in the world. Bushmills is also famous for its
position on the River Bush where wild Atlantic Salmon spawn each year.
These unique features are celebrated in a collaboration between many of our food
tour partners in the popular Bushmills Salmon & Whiskey Festival – 6 – 8
October 2023, which showcases local heritage & fine produce with a huge variety of
tastings, chef appearances, talks, entertainment, storytelling, craft, music and
heritage to enjoy.
Causeway Coast Foodie Tours is delighted to invite you to this annual weekend
celebration to share in all the delights this charming village has to offer.
The weekend starts with us on Friday with our foodie day tour. Lasting 6.5 hours,
you will become familiar with our heritage and culinary culture, taste our delicious
local produce and meet the people behind this. As you explore through the village &
further afield on a tour of 6 planned stops, you will ‘meet the makers’ and taste
locally produced food & drink, many of which have attracted many prestigious
awards including Great Taste and Blas ná hEireann marques.
You will discover produce from our local artisan markets, enjoy specially crafted
