Wendy Gallagher
Wendy, a native of the area, combines her personal experience and professional knowledge as a Hospitality Expert and Tour Guide. She is passionate about local food, fully committed to making guests aware of food provenance and how this is lovingly nurtured to produce award-winning tastes.
Wendy established Causeway Coast Foodie Tours in 2016 and is proud to work alongside exceptional local businesses to bring you unique #exploreandtaste tour experiences that showcase why the Causeway Coast & Glens is a ‘must-visit’ for food lovers from near and far.
Wendy has 18 years’ experience as a lecturer in Travel, Tourism and Tour Guiding, with previous 20 years industry experience; is a trained Tour Guide and WORLDHOST Trainer who is passionate about local food and the excellence of the visitor experience.

My parents brought me up in an environment where we, and visitors to our home, were well looked after and always well fed with fresh, local produce including plenty of delicious home-baking. I love food! Raising my own family, I have always connected with the ethos of living off our land, using good home-grown or home-reared ingredients and showing pride in our sense of place. I have a passion for bringing this to my family, my tours, colleagues and customers & delight in immersing you in the sights, sounds, smells and most importantly the TASTE of the Causeway Coastal Route. This is a family business and Wendy is delighted to have family members including her daughter, Lucy a.k.a. #causewayfoodiejunior supporting her Causeway Coast Foodie Tours journey.

Broughgammon Farm has had the pleasure and benefits of working with Wendy Gallagher as one of her Causeway Coast Foodie Tour Destinations, over the last several years.
Wendy offers bespoke tours to a number of different locations, usually following a particular theme or interest. When visiting us she would typically bring a group of 10-15 visitors in a luxury coach, for an hour or so, and her customers would then see what we do as an artisan meat producer, butchery and farm shop.
Wendy’s tours are energised by her bubbly personality, her humour, in depth knowledge, always underlined by her consummate professionalism. As a tour operator she maintains flexibility to ensure high customer satisfaction, tempering her tours to client’s wishes, but at the same time happily liaises with us as providers to ensure all runs smoothly and to an exciting agenda. Having been to Broughgammon on numerous occasions one might think that Wendy had seen it all and might become jaded, but that is not the case. She has great interaction with her clients and tour destination hosts, and has an infectious enthusiasm for her Foodie Tours.
I can honestly say she is a delight to work with, and would thoroughly recommend her tours to anyone with a foodie interest.
