Great day out

My husband was given a token for the food tour as a birthday present and we went along with two friends. It was a great experience from start to finish. Wendy the organiser was friendly engaging and well informed and her initial introductions helped the group gel from the start.

Coleraine food market was the starting point and we were impressed by the variety and quality of the produce and we got the chance to chat to local traders , sample and purchase local produce.

From there we proceeded to other venues by mini bus. After a delicious brunch in Mr and Mrs Jones in Portstewart we got the chance to visit a farm specialising in produce goat meat and veal with an informative tour by the owner.

Bushmills distillery was the next stop and we concluded the day with a delicious three course meal in Tartine which showcased local produce.

While the itinerary may vary from month to month this tour comes highly recommended if you want a really enjoyable day out which constituted great value for money. An excellent present for anyone
